A spectacular flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara provides you with your first views of the incredible Himalayan Mountains. The Annapurna foothills provide tremendous trekking opportunities, with delightful trails connecting villages and ridge tops. This Poon Hill, Annapurna Trek passes through enchanting villages with terraced rice fields and rhododendron forests. In the spring, whole hillsides will be covered by colorful flowers. Rhododendron is the national flower of Nepal.
The ridge-top village of Ghorepani provides one of the finest viewpoints of the Annapurna Mountains, including Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre. The highlight of this trip is ascending Poon Hill (3193 m) at the sunrise view point for a breathtaking panorama of wonderful snow-capped mountains. After enjoying the sunrise, We will continue our trek to Ghandruk, enjoying the mountain view again. Ghandruk is a traditional Gurung village, a place with the best views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Hiuchuli, and Machhapuchhre.
Our planed Annapurna Poon Hill Trek ends at Phedi. Then we return to Pokhara for a luxurious night at the famous Fishtail Lodge in its idyllic location on Fewa Tal Lake. From the beautifully landscaped gardens, we may catch a reflection of the Annapurna Mountain range in Fewa Lake.
