Why Poon hill trek
Poonhill trek is also popularly known as the 4-day trek. This trek starts from Ulleri and ends at Phedi.
You will be having 360 degree view of the mountains from Poon hill. The Poon hill lies in Pokhara(kaski) district. It is a perfect short, beautiful journey in the Annapurna region.
This trek can be done by any age group. This trek is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and hills. You will experience the fresh air from the mountains.
The highlight of this trip is ascending Poon Hill (3193 m) at the sunrise view point. After we enjoy the sunrise from view viewpoint. We will head toward the beautiful village of Ghandruk.

This trek is a moderate trek, no hardship, just enjoy the trek. Here is the tour plan and route overview by Shangri-la Voyages:
- Day one: Arrival at Kathmandu
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). We will meet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel.
- Day two: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
The next day, you will be escorted on a sightseeing tour. You will be taken to numerous locations, including Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur. You will tour some of the old durbar and temples. The goal of this is to link you with Nepalese society.
- Day three: fly to Pokhara/Pokhara sightseeing
Early morning, we will head toward the domestic airport. We will be going to Pokhara by flight. The flight duration from Kathmandu to Pokhara is around 20 to 25 minutes.
After we land, we will be heading towards our hotel. We will have a few hours of rest and start exploring the Pokhara valley.
- Day four: Drive to Nayapul/ Trek to Ulleri
After having breakfast, we will be heading towards Nayapul. It will be a 2-hour ride to reach Nayapul. It is the gateway to Poon hill trek and Annapurna Base Camp.
The Ulleri village is the largest Magar village and the most beautiful village in Nepal. It will take around 5 hours to reach Ulleri.
- Day five: Trek to Ghorepani
Ghorepani lies in Myagdi, the capital of Beni district. Ghorepani is (2874 m) above sea level. To reach Ghorepani from Ulleri, it takes 6-7 hrs. We will be staying overnight in Ghorepani.
- Day six: Trek to Tadapani
Before sunrise, we will go to the sunrise viewpoint(3139 m) and enjoy the sunrise at Ghorepani. It will take a 6-7 hour trek to reach Tadapani. We will be at ( 2630 m) high above sea level.
- Day Seven: Trek to Ghandruk
Early morning, we will leave the beautiful Tadapani village. After that, we will head towards Ghandruk. A village of Gurung people. It will take 3 hrs to reach Ghandruk from Tadapani. We will be staying overnight, enjoying Gurung culture.
- Day Eight: Trek to Phedi
It is the last day of the trek. We will be descending to Phedi. After we reach Phedi, we will be heading toward our hotel. Taking a rest after a Trek is important. We will stay overnight in Pokhara. In the evening, we’ll enjoy the beautiful night view of the city.
- Day Nine: Drive to Kathmandu
In the morning, after breakfast. We will pack our luggage and start our journey to Kathmandu by road. The journey will be 6 hours and 20 minutes. The day we reach will be your rest day, and the journey ends here.
- Day ten: Departure
The next day after you arrive in Kathmandu. Our guide will transport you to the airport and say farewell.
