- Day one: Arrival
On day one, you will be arriving at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. We will be picking you up from the airport to the hotel.
- Day two: Full sightseeing
We will take you sightseeing on day two. You will be enjoying a full day exploring Historic cities like Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur.
- Day three: Fly to Lukla and trek Phadking
Your journey to Everest base camp begins on the third day. We will be flying to Lukla, the entry point to Everest. Approx flight duration will be 45 minutes. After we land in we will have a 6hrs hike to Phadkding.
- Day four: Trek to Namche Bazaar ( 3445 m/6 hrs)
We will be having a continuous trek for two days. After we reach Phakding, we will be heading to Namche Bazar. The trek to Namche Bazaar will be approximately 6 hrs. We will be at the (3445 m) above sea level.
- Day five: Rest day and acclimatization
On day five, it’s a rest day and acclimatization day. You can explore the beautiful Namche Bazar. You can explore the Sherpa culture and tradition.

- Day six: Trek to Tengboche
The trek to Tengboche is 5 – 6 hrs. We will be at an altitude of (3840 m) above sea level. You can also see the largest monastery in the Khumbu region ( Tengboche Monastery). You will be witnessing this on the sixth day of the trek.
- Day Seven: Trek to Dingbochen ( 4530 m/6 hrs)
After we have breakfast in the morning, in Tengboche. We will be moving toward Dingboche. It will take 6 hours to reach Dingboche from Tengboche. We will the at an altitude of (4350 m) above sea level.
- Day Eight: Rest day and acclimatization
We won’t hike on this day; we will take a rest and acclimatize. You can explore Dingboche, also known as the last Sherpa Village. Moreover, Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, or Imja Tse can all be accessed from Dingboche village.
- Day Nine: Trek to Lobuche ( 4931 m/5-6 hrs)
Early morning, we will start the trek to Lobuche. We will be at an altitude of (4931 m) above sea level. It will take 5-6 hrs of hiking from Dingboche. It is one of the last overnight stops with lodging on the “trail to base camp”.
- Day ten: Trek to Gorkhasep and base camp(5364 m)
The day we reach the base camp. We will be going through Gorak Shep. It will take 2-3 hrs to reach Gorak Shep from Lobuche. After a few hours of hiking, we will reach the historic base camp ( Everest Base Camp). We will be at an altitude of (5364 m) above sea level.
- Day Eleven: Ascend Kala Pathar (5545 m) and trek to Pheriche
We still are not done. Early in the morning, before sunrise, we will ascend to Kalapathar. Observing the beautiful sunrise at an altitude of ( 5545 m) above sea level. Believe us, you might not have seen the beauty. The sun hugging Mount Everest.
After spending a few hrs on the viewpoint. We will trek back to Pheriche. We will be staying overnight at Pheriche.
- Day Twelve: Trek to Namche
After having breakfast, we will start descending to Namche bazar. Due to the descent, it’s easy to trek. So our destination for the day will be Namche Bazar.
- Day thirteen: Trek to Lukla
Our trip is coming to an end. On this day, we trek to Lukla from Namche. It will be a few hours’ easy trek. We will be staying at Lukla overnight.
- Day Fourteen: Fly back to Kathmandu
On this day, we are officially completing our trip to Everest base camp. We will be returning to Kathmandu from Lukla. The trip to Everest base camp ends.
- Day Fifteen: Final departure
This is your last day in Nepal. Our guide will take you to the airport and bid you farewell.
Best Time to Trek

- Spring season :
This season offers the best view. In the spring season, you can see the red and pink Rhododendron.
- Autumn season :
In autumn, it’s colder than in the springtime. But still, you can see the clear sky and experience the best view.

Permits and Documentations
Trekking to Everest Base Camp requires a few essential permits. All of this is arranged by Shangri-La Voyages for a hassle-free journey.

- Sagarmatha National Park Permit:
You need to have a permit from Sagarmatha National Park. Mount Everest lies in the National Park area.
The cost for the permit is 3000 NPR per person. If you have children below 10 years then it’s free for them.
- Khumbu Pasang Lhamhu Rural Municipality Permit:
The Khnumbu Pasang Lhamu rural municipality charges around 2000 NPR per person. The permit is obtained at the trekker’s check post at Lukla or Monjo.
- Valid passport and visa:
- A valid Nepal tourist visa (on arrival or online)
- At least 6 months of passport validity recommended
- Carry passport photocopies and passport-sized photos for permits.
