Newly popular trek

The Pikey Peak trek offers one of the best views of Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. On the route, you can enjoy impressive landscapes and the rich vegetation of the Lower Khumbu region. Beautifully crafted ancient Buddhist monasteries, gompas and stupas give travelers the opportunity for an unforgettable spiritual experience with the Sherpa people.

Pikey Peak is situated at an elevation of 4,065 m. It is an incredible panoramic viewpoint of the Himalayan mountain range. From the top, you can see Mount Everest, Numbur and Lhotse. According to Sir Edmund Hillary, “Pikey Peak is the most amazing place to view Mount Everest.”

This trek is relatively easy and short. There is no need for special training, which allows even beginner or inexperienced hikers to fully enjoy the hike. You walk every day for 5 to 6 hours on average. Apart from the trekking experience, this is the best place to enjoy the Rhododendron blossom in March and April.

Before starting your trek, you will visit 3 world heritage sites in Kathmandu. Those are Swayambhu, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. These places give you ideas about Nepali art and architecture.
