Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek

Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is an extremely adventurous trip around the massive Dhaulagiri range in western Nepal. It is the most challenging, relatively long, and beautiful remote off-beaten trek in Nepal. This trek goes round the  Dhaulagiri Mountain. Dhaulagiri is one of the most popular 8000-meter Peaks for climbing in the Himalayas. The seventh-highest mountain in the world, Dhaulagiri, lies north-west of Pokhara, culminating at its highest point at the eastern end. Dhaulagiri is almost unique in the world in terms of its rise above local terrain, where it rises to 7000m over the Kali Gandaki gorge to the south-east in about 30 km of aerial distance. In fact, Kali Gandaki is dramatic, as two eight thousand Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri both stand near the river, facing each other over a deep valley.

The Dhaulagiri, standing at an impressive height of 8,167 meters, is the seventh highest mountain in the world. The name “Dhaulagiri” translates to “White Mountain” in Sanskrit, which perfectly describes its snow-covered peaks that glisten under the sunlight. The first successful ascent of Dhaulagiri was made in 1960 by a Swiss-Austrian. Dhulagiri Base Camp offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers. The base camp serves as a starting point for trekkers and mountaineers looking to conquer the majestic Dhaulagiri. The weather at Dhaulagiri Base Camp is extremely unpredictable. Situated at an altitude of 4,750 meters, the base camp experiences harsh conditions, including strong winds, low temperatures, and frequent snowfall. Climbers as well as trekkers should have to get proper gear and equipment for Dhaulagiri Base Camp.
